Hi,
I am a desi in CT. I got my license in 2009 and am now building my own airplane from a kit from a company called Van's Aircraft - www.vansaircraft.com. If anyone in the CT/Western MA area is interested, I'd be glad to take you flying and help you connect with some local flying schools. Just write to me on monsterdice@gmail.com
Anything is indeed possible here!

AB says; Hey man thax for the wonderful article. I read it yesterday and now i have already started searching for some schools. I live in Lansing, MI. Yes I am from India and I guess getting Private Licence here in USA in very easy. I never heard anybody getting Pilot licence just for fun, but really we all have one life to live and why cant we do crazy things like flying.
I know that I will not be able to fly at all in future, but I just to see the stick 9cockpit stick, i do not know wht it is called) in the hand.
So my request to the author of this article is to detail the process of getting the License. May be splitting the article into ABC steps.
Thanks
AB
I am in the process of getting trained in PPL and stumbled across this page doing a search online, Good to see you guys having interest in learning to fly. I have been doing some research from last 45 days regarding ppl and spoke to some of the flight schools in my area, Guys prepare for a budget of 8k to 10k if you are planning to get a ppl. It all depends on the rental rate of the flight and cost of the instructor for each hr. I live in
florida and picked a decent school they charge $130(wet)/hr for flight and $45/hr for instructor.
So its not cheap but needs some dedication from your side to complete the PPL fast. It requires atleast 2 session(2 hrs per session) per week to be constantly in touch with what you learn in ground school.
Very Good Article....I would like to get more information....
By the way, what would be the total expense to get the private license?
